Dear Supporter of Rincon Valley Schools,

It has been an honor to serve for five years as your representative on the Rincon Valley Union School District’s Board of Education.  I was born and raised in the District, attended Rincon Valley schools as did my children, and I understand that excellent schools are critical for our community, local economy and property values. 

As your trustee, I bring the perspective of a financial advisor with three decades of diverse business, civic and nonprofit experience, which uniquely qualifies me to provide guidance and oversight for the District and its many stakeholders.  While we are fortunate to have great schools, teachers and staff, the District also faces significant challenges with student behavior and academics, enrollment and changing demographics, labor and housing shortages, runaway pension and health care costs, and unpredictable education funding, among others.

My top priority is the academic and financial health of the District, and student success needs to be at the center of our decision-making.

I’m running for re-election, so I can continue to safeguard and improve our District’s reputation for exceptional public schools while being a good steward of taxpayer dollars.
