Ramadan 2019

Through 2019, American Muslims for Palestine has been working to advance the Cause for Palestine in America. With the grace of Allah, This year we have been able to push our new initiatives and programs nationwide.

This blessed month of Ramadan was a pivotal point in the course of humanity. It was transformed by a single word, Iqra’ “Read!”. At AMP, We understand that our quest for justice in Palestine falls within the command prescribed in the Quran. As the quest for freedom in Palestine continues, we know that we are equally engaged in a struggle to build public awareness based on knowledge and facts. To this end, we produce educational materials that are sent to college campuses and Muslim and non-muslim communities nationwide.

AMP has invested significant resources in building the political power of our communities– and we are making an impact. Just a few weeks ago our congressional leaders saw the largest-ever advocacy effort for Palestine in our nation’s capital. More than 500 advocates held over 200 meetings with lawmakers on Capitol Hill in support of Palestinian human rights. Our Palestine advocacy & training program continues to double year after year as we mobilize more people from across the country to campaign for justice in Palestine.

AMP further invests in sending an annual delegation of interfaith leaders to Palestine to provide them a deeper understanding of the condition of the Palestinian people living under a brutal occupation, as well as to counter Zionist normalization efforts in our communities. Because of your efforts and generous support, and with the blessings of following the Almighty’s command, we have accomplished a great deal.

We hope as part of your worship in this holy month, especially as you reflect on the meaning of iqra’ (read), that you will continue to partner with us in our achievements, and more importantly, share with us in the blessings of this work. We know our path is long but that the truth is on our side. Together, we will build on our successes and grow closer to realizing our vision of freedom and justice in Palestine.
