Support Immigrant Defenders Law Center
In these tough times, ImmDef is working to achieve a big goal: due process for all immigrants facing immigration court.
ImmDef is fighting back every day against cruelty against migrants at the border with a particular focus on assisting children and families. Each day the situation at the border deteriorates further and the need for additional resources and capacity to help is clear.
ImmDef has steadily grown to be the largest non‐profit, pro bono provider of deportation defense in California. We provide full‐scale deportation defense and legal education classes to approximately 3,000 adults and children in Southern California annually. ImmDef's representation programs focus on the most marginalized immigrants facing deportation, among them unaccompanied minors, adults detained in remote facilities, adults with mental health challenges and families who are facing long-term separation.
The Constitution promises that every person shall receive due process in the United States. What that looks like in immigration court is that every immigrant facing an unfamiliar system, with complex rules, often in a language they don't understand, should have a competent attorney that understands the system to represent them.
If you believe in that goal, please join us, and contribute!
