Rachel Brown for Florida State Senate D27

I'd like to be a public servant to district 27 and fight the political powers that take our money and use it to give out corporate tax breaks. I was born and raised in Naples and have resided in Lee county for 7 years. I study environmental engineering (sanitation of water and waste management), am the president of the Sunrise Movement Ft. Myers Chapter, and new member of the board of Rights of Nature. Here in Lee county we do not have a legal right to clean air and clean water. Throughout my life I have seen an exponential growth of clear cutting for real estate. I have seen rent prices increase hundreds of dollars a month while minimum wage has increased only a few cents. I've learned about human trafficking, inefficient busing, individuals not having healthcare, and families getting evicted. I am running for office because I'm tired of seeing the efforts of so many people be overlooked.
