Jevaia Oral Health Care 

For the 20th year, Race to the Rock will benefit Jevaia's community-based, human-rights dental care model in Nepal. When Race to the Rock began in 2004, our oral health project (which had no name at that time) was operating in one rural Health Post and seeing a few hundred people annually. Back then there were no examples anywhere in the world of systematic delivery of the Basic Package of Oral Care using a public health approach. This year, Jevaia Oral Health Care will serve a population area of 70,000 people in collaboration with Nepal's national health care system, and our programs are expected service more than 10,000 patients. All of this awesome work is provided by Nepali health professionals trained to specialize in the Basic Package of Oral Care, and setting an incredible example for the world of a right-to-care approach to oral health.
