Restore Sight, Restore Dignity.

She Waited Six Years to See Again

Millions are still waiting.

Oluwatosin, 40, began losing her vision while apprenticing in a trade. As sight faded in her left eye, so did her dream of attending Teachers’ College. With limited options and support, she tried to adapt but poor vision continued to affect her confidence, her work, and how others saw her.

At a community outreach supported by Relief for Human Suffering Foundation, Oluwatosin was screened and diagnosed with a mature cataract. Within a week, she received surgery that restored her sight for the first time in six years. When her vision returned, she said the weight she carried was gone - she could work with confidence and dignity again.

This is not an isolated story. In the African Region, more than 26 million people live with visual impairment, and many of these cases are preventable or treatable with basic care.  Yet lack of access, not lack of solutions, keeps people in darkness.

Your support helps change that.

You can give in two meaningful ways:

Give directly to fund screenings, surgeries, and access to essential vision care.

Or choose the Gift of Sight - a donation made in honour or memory of someone special. For those who have everything, this is a powerful alternative to traditional gifts: restored vision, restored dignity, and renewed hope.

If you donate in someone’s honour, we will send a personalised Certificate of Donation on your behalf with a copy to you.

Together, we are working toward restoring sight and opportunity for millions more.
