Public Democracy LA

Public Democracy LA is a consortium of municipal activists formed in the wake of the 2022 city council scandal that provoked a crisis of Los Angeles governance. How can government regain public trust, resolve tough policy issues, and de-escalate tensions between polarized citizens? We work in greater LA  to catalyze civic assemblies, a breakthrough democratic process that is engaging citizens directly in government decision-making in cities around the world.
