Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms – Donate to Keep Mutual Aid Alive

The World's Largest Humanitarian Crisis

Sudan is facing the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. Since the war erupted in April 2023, over 25 million people have been left in desperate need of food, water, shelter, and medical care. A staggering 24.6 million are acutely food insecure, and 638,000—more than anywhere else in the world—are on the brink of starvation.

The healthcare system has collapsed, leaving millions without treatment for chronic and communicable diseases. Sudan is also at the epicenter of the world’s largest displacement crisis, with over 11.3 million people internally displaced and more than 3.9 million people who have fled the country. Meanwhile, indiscriminate attacks on vulnerable populations persist, including widespread reports of sexual and gender-based violence

With international aid failing to meet the overwhelming need, grassroots volunteers have become the last line of defense, but they can’t do it alone. Your support can mean the difference between life and death.

The Lifesaving Impact of Sudan's Emergency Response Rooms

As traditional aid efforts continue to fall short, Sudan's grassroots volunteers have stepped up in extraordinary ways. They've organized Emergency Response Rooms, community-led mutual aid networks that have become the backbone of survival across Sudan.

These volunteers are saving millions of lives by:

  • Providing food through communal kitchens
  • Distributing medicine and medical supplies to areas where hospitals have collapsed
  • Evacuating civilians and volunteers to safe zones
  • Repairing water and electrical infrastructure
  • Creating safe spaces for women and children in a conflict that has left them most vulnerable

These groups are cost-effective, fast, and deeply embedded in their communities—going where no other aid organizations can.

But now, their survival is in jeopardy. Due to USAID funding cuts, already-insufficient resources have been slashed by 80%, just when they’re needed most.

Let's Raise $75,000 to Keep Mutual Aid Alive

Our goal is to raise $75,000 to support Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms and ensure they can continue their critical work. Here’s how your tax-deductible donation can make a difference:

💙 $5 provides a meal for 25 people
💙 $5,000 is the average budget for an ERR

Why This Is the Best Way to Help Sudan

Unlike large aid organizations, the Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition sends donations directly to frontline responders—without bureaucracy, delays, or overhead costs.

  • 95 cents of every dollar goes straight to local organizers
  • Funds typically reach communities within two weeks—not months
  • Local groups decide how to use funds based on real-time needs

Sudan’s Emergency Response Rooms have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in both 2024 and 2025, a testament to their extraordinary impact.
