Our monthly membership program brings together a community of supporters who believe in our mission and want to help us grow.

We held our very first ad hoc PROTESTRA concert almost eight years ago to protest the first Trump administration's Muslim Ban. In a whirlwind two weeks, we brought together a full orchestra and audience and raised over three thousand dollars in donations for refugee aid organizations. It was then that we fully realized just how effective classical music can be at bringing people together and raising awareness and support for the causes that we care about.

Since that first concert, we have been able to raise nearly $30,000 for a wide variety of charitable and activist organizations, far more than any one of us could manage on our own. From the music-making to the concert-producing, everything we have accomplished thus far has been a group effort driven by passion and perseverance.

The act of holding a concert itself is a practice deeply rooted in community building, and we are proud to see how ours has grown through the years. This year, we’re hoping to welcome more people into this beloved community that is the true spirit behind PROTESTRA!

Your monthly donation amount = your age in dollars—simple and impactful!

Since we are a completely grassroots-funded organization, your contributions play a key role in bringing our concerts to life. Your sustaining donations will help us plan further in advance so we can address a wider variety of social issues and make an even greater impact through classical music.
