PROJECT PARROT: with The Carpenter's Shop Center's, Third Grade Class

The sky is the limit for some extra enthusiastic third graders at, "The Carpenter's Shop Center!" With the guidance of their amazing teacher, Ms. Madison Kemp, some summer students are putting their "parrot heads," together to help raise parrot awareness to the general public, as well as some much needed financial support for Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida, Inc.; "Florida's Premier, 501c3, Parrot & Toucan, Rescue, Sanctuary, and Educational Organization," based right here in Jacksonville, Florida! 

This year, this incredible class decided to help local animals, and we are so blessed to have been chosen for this special summer service project for parrot protection and awareness! (HOW COOL!? These kids are incredible!)

THE MISSION & GOAL: 

Since officially opening in July 2021, www.RainbowParrotRescueFlorida.org has helped hundreds of parrots! From basic rehoming needs, to hoarding situations, drug raids, and even illegal exotic animal trafficking; our family run rescue has been there to help all those in need! All of our parrots come with a very unique set up circumstances, as well as a huge price tag to vet, feed, train, care, and enrich. All of our parrots are properly vetted, microchipped, and behavior trained before going to their forever homes! Our adoption process is extensive, but always done with love and compassion! (We successfully rehabbed and rehomed 167 parrots in 2023!) 

However, there are 9 VERY special permenant sanctuary parrots, and 1 toucan, who could really use your help!! These specific parrots and toucan, are being trained for some big future exhibition projects, educational programs, and our new upcoming family podcast called, "Parrot Talk Weekly," all with Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida!

OUR DONATION NEEDS:

We will feature each parrot on social media, on different days throughout the fundraiser, but for now, here is a brief description of the overall needs here at Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida. The cost of veterinary care is rising, and that alone is a huge expense for this nonprofit, as well as food, toys, enrichment, cleaning products, air purifiers, stands, perches, daily pads for cage cleaning, and so much more! 

(NOTE: We will also feature any new rescues we get in during this fundraiser who may also need your help!!)
