🚨 Urgent Announcement from Tender Loving Cats 🚨

We’re heartbroken to share that our Prevent-A-Litter (PAL) spay/neuter program is currently out of funds and must be temporarily suspended. 💔

We haven’t had to make this decision in years—but with donations at a historic low, no active TNR program in Islip Township, and Babylon Township’s program on hold, we simply don’t have the resources to continue right now.

This kitten season has been one of the most overwhelming we’ve ever seen. There are more cats and kittens in need across Long Island than we can possibly reach—but we are still doing all we can.

What You Can Do:

🐾 If you can donate, even a small amount, you can help us restart this lifesaving program.

Spay/neuter costs $125+ per cat or kitten, depending on what’s needed—every dollar helps cover these costs.

🐾 If you can obtain a town voucher, you may still qualify for trapping assistance. These can help offset costs, and we can advise you on next steps.

🐾 Willing to pay out-of-pocket? You may still apply for PAL. We’ll do our best to help coordinate spay/neuter, but availability is limited.

🐾 Friendly kittens under 12 weeks old will not be spayed/neutered and released—we require a foster plan if you are requesting trapping help. No kittens this young or social should be put back outside.

🐾 Suffering cats (injured, sick, or in distress): we always try to help if a trapper is available. Please reach out—we’ll do everything we can.
