Passing of President Marino

Dominick Marino, as the President of the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey, committed himself to the advancement of the firefighting profession. His dedication elevated all New Jersey firefighters. His influence resulted in positive change for all of our benefit.
Dominick would draw from his bottomless well of energy to passionately advocate for the health, safety, protection, and well-being of anyone and everyone who has taken an oath to serve others. Retired, active and even aspiring professional firefighters, emergency medical providers, support service members were squarely in his focus. Police officers, corrections officers, nurses, and hospital technicians would become equal benefactors of his life’s work.
It was always of the utmost importance to Donny that, above all else, we have securities in place so that, in the event of the worst, our families would be provided for.
On April 14th Dominick left us all too soon. We lost a leader, a champion, a Brother.
In that same moment a son, husband, father, grandfather was taken from parents, a wife, daughters, son, and granddaughters; the family Dominick spent his life providing for.
This is an opportunity to provide for Dominick in the same spirit he provided for us.
The Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey will dedicate 100% of all proceeds made to the Emergency Relief Fund in Dominick’s memory to directly support the Marino family in their time of loss.

Dominick MARINO was one of the finest, most decent and genuine, people that I have met in my 35 plus years in the labor movement. We enjoyed many good times together and did a lot of good work for the members that we both passionately served. We had our share laughs, good Italian food and wine, an occasional disagreement and, yes, plenty of cigars, scotch, BS and laughter. Every IAFF event, I have attended over the last few years I think of my dear friends Mike Mullane and Tommy Canz and toast to his memory. Now, sadly, I will do the same for Donnie—all of whom were take too soon. Rest In Peace brother.
