Please support the Jarjeer project.

All over the developing world, animals support poor families. Donkeys and mules in particular are used to carry heavy loads and toil in the fields in blistering heat.
Jarjeer Mules is a retirement home, orphanage and care centre for working equines in the foothills of the Atlas near Marrakech. We offer emergency medical care and sanctuary to the aged, disabled and abandoned donkey and mule. None of our donkeys or mules are ever tethered at Jarjeer. They enjoy real freedom for the first time in their lives! We are proud to have become a hub of kindness and compassion bringing together the local community, staff, visitors and those in need both equine and human.
Every amount donated, however small, is spent on the care of our animals at the refuge and supports our outreach work in local villages. Our current costs are £200,000 a month which includes food, building work and staff wages not to mention a huge veterinary bill!

We are happy to send you a donation. When I think of all the donkeys you have helped already, and when I think of the vast number of others still in need, I feel not only deeply grateful for your courage and vision, but also strongly compelled to help support your good cause. Although the enclosed donation is, of necessity, not as expansive as my support, I hope it provides at least a small amount of assistance toward the continuation of your services.

Dear Susan. I have visited your wonderful refuge with my family several years ago. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco. What you do with your husband and all the people who are working there, is an inspiration to all of us. Thank you, keep giving us this light and hope, there are not so many happy endings in life as those of the animals that you care for. Yours, Maryam.

Through knowing Ellen Cochrane, I donate £50.00 to help with your wonderful charity. It breaks my heart to see these beautiful equines work so hard in blistering heat and see the suffering they endure. Keep up the amazing work you do for these animals. A massive well done. X

In remembrance of the little soul we had to let go over the rainbow bridge on January 18, 2022 after a massive hit and run. No one deserves to die in a roadside ditch. Many thanks for helping and being so quickly at the scene of accident.
