Can you help us rebuild our Jungle School?

We urgently need your help to rebuild our beautiful little Jungle School at Selang Pangeran!

Overnight Tuesday the Landak River peaked at 10 meters and destroyed everything in its path. Homes, roads, crops - and our beautiful school.

But we’re going to build it back – and we urgently need your help to buy the essential materials!

We first started holding lessons by the river back in 2015 – but if you know Sumatra you know it wasn’t long before a roof became essential to keep the kids dry during the wet season. We created a wonderful place where kids have been learning everything from English (to help them find jobs in eco-tourism and hospitality), to skills for protecting their precious ecosystem.

Can you help us rebuild the school so kids can continue learning those essential life skills? Every donation helps!

It’s not just kids who need the school.

Whole communities benefit as kids bring home new ideas and knowledge. And families feel such pride when their children have access to education. On top of that, the school acts as a connection point with the wider world and a hub where community groups can distribute resources like school supplies, clothing and food to families.
