Plant A Seed Campaign
In the last Plant A Seed Campaign we had 69 donors that raised $12,047 (Our goal is to double that this year). Those 69 donors were able to plant seeds that grew into 16 athletic scholarships for Colorado Prep players (9 DI).
We have Colorado Prep Alum who are first generation college students, the first in their family to attend college, thanks to this campaign.
Your donation will directly impact an entire families life. Donate what you can but we are looking for $100 seeds to be planted. Donors over $1,000 will be honored on the teams social media platforms.
Colorado Prep is a non-for-profit organization and any funds donated will be subject to tax deduction.
Funds will be used for tuition, travel expenses, and numerous opportunities for our players to have an opportunity to plant their own seeds.
Back Story
In 1968, the Head Coach of Colorado Prep and San Antonio Spurs legend, James Silas, left his home town of Tallulah, Louisiana to play basketball at Stephen F. Austin University on a full athletic scholarship. From that opportunity came success and a seed was planted for his family. His sons all received private schooling, and his grandchildren have all attended college. That one single scholarship in 1968 affected his family for generations. Now he wants to help other young athletes plant their own seeds.
