Pittsburgh Oncology Patient Aid

Pittsburgh oncology nurses have recognized a gap in the healthcare system, specifically those undergoing cancer treatments.

To say these regimens are expensive is an understatement! These are patients that fall into a “gray zone” when ineligible for Medicaid or other grants.

As a result, they are financially struggling with their cancer diagnosis. Oncology nurses have watched patients be faced with the impossible decisions of either paying rent, eating dinner, OR receiving life-saving medicine; we have watched patients get ‘fired’ from their jobs due to their cancer diagnosis.

This leaves them without income or insurance. Due to that and astronomical costs of their treatment(s), they skip appointments. This is happening more often than not.

YASU (Young Adult Survivors United) eases the financial burden for cancer survivors and caregivers. Funds contributed will go towards YASU’s financial assistance program, directly helping young adult cancer patients pay medical bills, rent or mortgage, utilities, integrative oncology services, fertility preservation expenses, and help put food on the table or fuel in their car. Donations of any amount are appreciated!

With that said, a free T-shirt saying “Pittsburgh Together Against Cancer” will be gifted to you with a donation of $50 or more. Thank you for your ongoing love and support!

Young Adult Survivors United is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and contributions are tax-deductible for income, gift, and estate taxes. Our EIN is 47-4705982.
