Former police officer Cody Smith is sitting in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
Cody was arrested and charged with murder in 2016 without a full investigation because the city of Montgomery, Alabama was afraid of the political backlash, riots, and turmoil … even though Smith followed orders, his training, and department policy.
His family has been fighting for SEVEN YEARS!
The legal fees have been a tremendous burden on their family, not to mention the costs to maintain a household with three young children.
In December, the Alabama State Supreme Court recommended Cody’s family file a Rule 32 Petition because it was a case of clear self-defense and “the most astonishing failure they’ve ever seen in a criminal case.”
Cody’s family is FIGHTING, but they must raise $10,000 by Match 15th to continue with his Rule 32 appeal and win Cody’s freedom.
