Help Support Former La Mesa Police Officer Matthew Dages
OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE: SERVE THOSE WHO SERVE US.
Officer Matthew Dages hit with $32,000 MORE in legal fees this week 💰💰💰
Dages’ administrative case against @lamesapd has just been pushed back from December 2021 to April 2022 ⚖️
The administrative case is different from the criminal case. This delay will cost Dages and his family at least another $32k, due to the longer than usual time it took @lamesapd to prepare Dages’ admin record for Superior Court.
Dages has now paid over $80,000 💸 out of pocket for legal fees that are NOT covered by his union. This huge financial burden is just one of the many ways the political machine is designed to crush first responders who get caught in legal crosshairs~ just for doing their jobs.
Former La Mesa Police Officer Matthew Dages has been politically railroaded and wrongfully terminated by City of La Mesa officials. And now he’s been criminally charged with falsifying a police report - despite no evidence of such an intentional act and substantial case law defending an officer’s perception and observations.
Dages was cleared of any use of force during the May 27, 2020 incident, but seemingly due to political pressure, Dages is now a scapegoat for the violence that befell the city.
Pipe Hitter Foundation will not stand for the continued villainization of this officer. We have set up a fundraising page for donations to help with legal fees as this officer continues the fight to clear his name.
Please consider donating today with a contribution of $25, $50, $100 so that we can support Dages and his family.
