Goal

The Robotics Teams' Campaign has a new goal - $30,000 by Oct 1, 2020

The Robo-Lions, FRC Team 2199, are a community team located in Carroll County, Maryland, open to High School and advanced Middle School students all over central Maryland. We compete at the highest level of difficulty for high school students, FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and the Robo-Lions are among the top all-around teams in Maryland.  We have two FIRST Tech Challenge Teams (Gear Freaks, FTC Team 4991 and Golden Jam, FTC Team 16540) who share our space and our goals, and also support 6-12 teams of younger students.  The Robo-Lions at their only competition for the Infinite Recharge SeasonThe Rookie FTC Team Golden Jam with their robot

As community-run teams, we depend on the funding provided by sponsors, family, friends, businesses, and people who recognize the need for increasing skills in today’s workforce in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and business.

Although the 2019-2020 competition season ended suddenly, we are actively working to keep up our efforts for STEM and Robotics in our community. We are planning summer camps, STEM activities and fall off-season events right now.  We have recently been able to find a new, expanded location in our area, and this campaign will help us make needed improvements to the space so that this summer we can re-open with more activities, more teams and more opportunities for kids of all ages. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to support this goal.

While we do get some support from corporate sponsors, we rely heavily on the support of friends, family, businesses, and people like you!  We are part of a registered 501(c)3*, which means your donations are tax deductible and help support STEM education and opportunities to students of all backgrounds.
