DARC SIDE is a student-led, 50+ member FIRST robotics team based out of Durham Academy Upper School. Beyond just building robots, our team is committed to our long-standing passion for building community through outreach efforts. So, when our school track team double-dog-dared us to Pie It Forward, we jumped at the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for the amazing CCF organization, a Cary-based nonprofit dedicated to bettering the lives of cancer patients.

Embracing our team's "work hard, play hard" mentality, DARC SIDE decided to go big or go home. With our States competition right around the corner, we knew we had the perfect platform. That weekend at FNC States, we hosted a massive pieing event featuring around twenty DARC SIDE members, mentors, and several students from other robotics teams. We had so much fun, and now would like to extend our impact beyond the event itself through this fundraiser to help the Caring Community Foundation.
