Peter Barron's Sponsored Walk for Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration

Last year I walked 925 km across Spain in 49 days, and I now realise I should have made that a sponsored walk.
 
I'm raising funds to help transform a long forgotten heritage site in East London to become the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration–Britain's only space promoting and celebrating the art we experience in our daily lives. So far we've raised nearly £12m and now we need a final million to start building this year.

To that end, here's a new concept: the sponsored walk after the fact. Admittedly it lacks the jeopardy of the traditional approach, but on the other hand there'll be no unpleasant surprises.
 
925 km is the number. A pound a kilometre would take us a long way, 10 pence a km would be great and even 1p all helps.
