Perennial Impact Fund 2022

There's such a joy that comes with making something new from reused materials, and that is Perennial's gift to the world.  It's been a delight to serve on their board and events committee, helping them build a creative community in St. Louis. I've discovered so many things at their shop, from chicken coop materials to how to do home electrical repairs. Perennial's artists inspire me to make more mindful purchases and think more like my grandmother did, about what can be made instead of bought, about the infinite ways to repurpose scraps of material. 

For so many, Perennial provides the tools, the materials, staff, artists, space, and programs for truly transformational experiences.

In 2022, Perennial engaged 6,230 people in creative reuse and diverted more than 10,000 pounds from the landfill! We host DIY classes, clothing swaps, and free outreach programs throughout the year to build a community of resourcefulness.
