Prevent Children and Families From Going Without Food During the Next Hurricane!
We don’t know when it will strike, but when it comes to extreme weather, we can only PREPARE.
Baja California Sur is the Mexican state with the most tropical storms hitting. In 2023, it had the highest number of storms in the last decade. The odds are high.
This year, we’ve already started supporting more than 70,000 people living in high-risk areas, particularly in the municipalities of La Paz and Los Cabos.
The 2024 hurricane season in Baja California Sur is already underway, and while the winds haven’t hit yet, the threat is real. Every year, Baja California Sur faces storms that destroy homes and leave thousands without access to the most basic necessities: food and water.
This year, at least 16 weather events are expected to affect the region, putting the safety of our communities at risk. Prevention can’t wait until the storm is on its way.
Our campaign is focused on preventing and mitigating the devastating impacts before it’s too late. The funds we raise will go toward securing food, water, and emergency supplies so that communities are ready when the storm comes.
By donating, you’ll not only be helping to ensure the immediate survival of thousands of people, but you will also be building the response capacity needed for future disasters. Acting now is critical to prevent hurricanes from causing even more destruction.
ASA works every day to ensure that the communities of Baja California Sur get the protection they need.
Let’s not wait for the storm to hit. Let’s secure the food now.
