In our short history we won funding for an arts and science event. Working with 350 Pensacola – the community’s most active environmental group of citizens – we’ve helped develop and sponsor the Funky Bike Fest, Hands Across the Sand, People’s Climate March, and in 2015 and 2016, the Clean Energy Fest and “Future of Energy” Art Exhibition, as part of the Pensacola Foo Foo Festival. Pensacola CAN provided liability insurance, marketing, management of donations, and helped 350 Pensacola collect over $15,000 in donations to date. Bike Pensacola has collected thousands of dollars in sponsorship fees and grants enabling them to impact the lives of thousands of locals interested in creating a more bike friendly Pensacola. Partnering with Pensacola CAN has allowed these organizations to have a greater impact and release their volunteers to do what they like to do best: create positive change!
