Penguins for Polio

Penguins for Polio is a new project this year designed to bring awareness to the fight against polio, raise funds to give vaccinations to children across the world, and donate toys to children around the Ottawa community!

We are selling stuffed penguin toys with a purple ribbon to symbolize the efforts against polio worldwide. Each penguin costs $12 and all proceeds will go directly to End Polio Now, Rotary's global campaign. One polio vaccination currently costs roughly 75 cents Canadian to fully protect a child from polio for life. Purchasing one penguin for $12 could provide 48 vaccinations to children around the world! Our club is also going to be donating these penguins to women and children's shelters and other causes around the Ottawa community.

There are two options:

1. Purchase a penguin for yourself or a loved one.

**Please note that you can only purchase a penguin if you are in the Ottawa area, OR if you are arranging pickup with a specific Rotaractor from our club.

2. Sponsor a penguin for a child in need around Ottawa.
