PASS Tribute to Sadie Roberts-Joseph
East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and PASS (Professional Athletes Supporting Students) will be donating 200 backpacks to students in the community in honor of Sadie Roberts-Joseph, the late founder of the Baton Rouge African American History Museum. The backpacks will be engraved with Roberts-Joseph name on the back and a bio will be included in each one. The backpacks will be distributed on Aug. 9 at Howell Place gym to students in the community. It’s part of a campaign to continue the legacy of Roberts-Joseph who was found dead in the trunk of her car on July 12. She was 75.
Donations to PASS will allow for community events to continue Ms Roberts-Joseph legacy and giving additional youth commemorative backpacks.
