Goal
Dear friends and family
As some of you know, I have had the privilege of working with the Parole Prep Project, an amazing organization that connects volunteers with incarcerated individuals serving life sentences who are navigating the parole process. We prepare advocacy materials, conduct mock interviews, liaise with reentry organizations and more. The people we work with have often spent decades in prison and are looking for the opportunity to build a new life on the outside.
To ensure that there is no financial burden on people in prison, Parole Prep covers all expenses related to travel, communication, printing, postage and more. The organization spends nearly $100,000 every year on volunteer activities alone.
Here's what you can do to help! Parole Prep has set a fundraising goal of $75,000 by the end of May, and I am personally reaching out to my community with the goal of raising at least $5,000. It would mean a lot to me if you would consider supporting this important cause.
I know there is a lot of people and organizations in need right now—even a small donation is incredibly helpful. And please reach out if you have any questions about the program and why I think it's so important.
