Help Grow Orthodox Parish Schools

Mount Tabor School is on a mission to create a new paradigm for low cost, high quality parish schools.  Here are some of the ways we are already working to spread our model 

Parish School Planting

Through the generosity of the Herzog Foundation, we are already assisting several Orthodox parishes navigate the prospect of starting a parish school.  The Porphyrios Institute  expands this work through providing additional support and resources to new parish schools and parish school leaders.

Teaching Apprenticeships

The Mount Tabor School teaching apprenticeship program launched last year, and our first apprentice has benefited from mentorship, training, observation, and hands-on experience learning to teach.  Help expand this program by creating opportunities for additional apprenticeships.

Resource Publication and Writing

There is a notable need to document and publish the work parish schools are doing and make it available to new schools, developing schools, and homeschools.  Curriculum, handbooks, and other manuals will solidify the progress many parishes have made towards a sustainable Orthodox parish school model.
