Pani Maria, 1965
Maria is 58 and started her peritoneal dialysis treatment in 2022.
The power in her house isn't reliable at the moment. It often goes out unexpectedly making her treatment schedule unpredictable.
This unpredictability is hard not just for Maria, but also for her daughter, who is caught between caring for her mother and maintaining her job.
They can't afford a more reliable power source, so every day is filled with uncertainty and fear.
About POWERUP!
Over 200 people in Ukraine need peritoneal dialysis every day.
Their home dialysis machines need an uninterrupted power supply for nine hours every day. If the electricity goes off, the consequences could be catastrophic. That's where our campaign, POWERUP, comes in.
We, Zeilen van Vrijheid foundation, want to give these people portable power stations. With your help, we can make sure their treatment continues without danger. Together, we can help them live.
