Pan Vitaly, 1976, from Rivne.
Vitaly found out he had kidney disease in 2005. In 2021, his doctor put him on automatic peritoneal dialysis using a special machine every day. But when the war started causing power cuts, his machine wouldn't work.
Missing his treatments even for a few days can cause serious health problems.
For Vitaly, each night brings the same pressing question: Will there be enough power to continue his fight into tomorrow?

About POWERUP!
Over 200 people in Ukraine need peritoneal dialysis every day.
Their home dialysis machines need an uninterrupted power supply for nine hours daily. If the electricity goes off, the consequences could be catastrophic. That's where our campaign, POWERUP, comes in.
We, Zeilen van Vrijheid Foundation, want to give these people portable power stations. With your help, we can make sure their treatment continues without danger. Together, we can help them live.
