Pact Family Camp is a camp unlike any other, explicitly designed to meet the needs of adopted children of color and their families. Pact Family Camp is a safe, honest, child-centered, anti-racist space where adopted youth of color can connect with peers and mentors who share their identities and experiences, and where their parents can dig deeply into not only the joys but also the challenges of adoption, race, and family. Every year families report that Pact Family Camp is a life-changing experience.

What is the impact of your donation?

Running a week-long, all-inclusive residential camp packed with educational programming, expert speakers, and recreational activities is complex and expensive—the most cost-intensive program Pact organizes every year. Sliding-scale registration fees don’t cover the full cost.

Support our amazing youth mentors.

These young adults of color, most of whom are adult adoptees or former foster youth, are the beating heart of Pact Family Camp, providing youth campers with incredible role models and loving, attentive care. As part of Pact’s commitment to the mentors' well-being, we have moved away from a bonus/”tip” model and now direct donations towards a guaranteed pay scale and raises that makes it easier for these dedicated educators and change agents to spend a week at camp. Offer scholarships to lower-income families.

Our goal is to make the transformative Pact Family Camp experience accessible to all families, regardless of income level. The number and size of scholarship subsidies we can offer to lower- and middle-income families depends on the amount of donated funds we receive.
