The mission of the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness (PPTFH) project is to provide leadership, resources and education to manage and eliminate the destructive consequences of homelessness in the Pacific Palisades so that the community is protected and remains safe and our homeless people receive compassionate, effective services with access to permanent housing. Your contribution will help us to continue the progress that has already been achieved.
SERVICES: Since the start of the project in January 2016, over 100 homeless persons have received assistance that enabled them to move off the streets into permanent or temporary housing. Over 70 of those individuals moved into permanent housing. There are currently over 50 homeless individuals that frequent the streets of the Palisades but are receiving some level of services from the PPTFH outreach team.
ENFORCEMENT: The project's Enforcement Coordination Team, working closely with the LAPD and other agencies, has helped make the community safer by addressing homelessness-related safety issues such as the potential for fires in homeless encampments. The team has also been very active in cleaning up the encampments in the Palisades bluffs.
EDUCATION: Bi-monthly community meetings are held and newsletters are published to provide information, solicit community input and report on the project's progress. Information from meetings already held may be found on our website at ppptfh.org.
