Hello Albert Einstein Community!
We are excited to launch the 3rd annual instrument repair drive! PACE hopes to raise $7,000 so that Mr. Kelly can repair and replace more than 40 instruments and pieces of equipment this summer. Thanks to the community's generous support over the last two years, we have now moved on to addressing the final stock pile of broken instruments AND are in need of purchasing several brand new pieces of equipment to support our rapidly growing program!
Please consider making a donation today or sharing the link with family and friends:
The funds will be used for:
$3,000 to repair: Over 25 unusable wind and string instruments currently sitting in storage closets:
-Violins, violas, trumpets, saxophones, trombones, clarinets, bass clarinets, flutes, french horns
$1100 to purchase: New wireless sound system and drum major podiums for the Titan Marching Band
$1000 to purchase: 2 new concert tuba cases
$950 to purchase: New professional jazz drumset and hardware to be used by all jazz students
$600 to purchase: 4 new timpani drop covers to protect expensive equipment
$350 to purchase: New electronic cables for sound systems and electronic instruments
We are fortunate that the school has a large supply of instruments, which enables students to borrow instruments and save on rental costs. AEHS families have donated many instruments over the years, but the county music department only allocates about $800 per year to AEHS to cover all repair and replacement needs.
If you are new to AEHS, welcome! Mr. Brendan Kelly is the director of the instrumental music department and PACE is the Performing Arts Coalition of Einstein. PACE supports the arts at Albert Einstein HS, which includes the VAPA academy, chorus, dance, instrumental music, Salseros, STAGE and visual arts.
Thank you for your support!
