Goal
Winter For Wildlife..
As the trees become fur-gloved with frost and the ground glistens in a spectacular sheen of beauty. Life 8for our vulnerable and precious wildlife, however, soon becomes that touch more harsh and unforgiving.
During the winter, food becomes much more scarce for all species of wildlife, the darker nights present a far greater degree of danger for species such as deer, foxes and badgers on our busy road networks. Simply put, soon every single night and day becomes a desperate fight for survival on an already pressured eco system, and wildlife needs our help.
Here at OWR, we witness first hand the influx of patients arriving in their droves requiring emergency help and support. Starving hedgehogs, injured foxes, deer road traffic casualties, exhausted birds, emaciated owls and that's just the very tip of the iceberg!
Winter may be a time of festivities for us, but for our wildlife, its a struggle and a time of hardship...
The gift of a second-chance
Here at OWR, we see a wide variety of species coming into care. All have their individual stories for ending up here, but they all share one thing in common... They are here for a second chance at life back in the wild.
The warmth, food, care and support provided by our dedicated team, ensures that for a short break, our patients can gather their strength back and properly prepare for life back in the wild once more.
Some may only require a few days rest, others such as under weight hedgehogs, may require a month or two staying with us whilst feeding up and reaching a much more desirable weight ready for hibernation.
Our Winter Appeal
The sad reality is however, that with more patients arriving here at our busy hospital every single day, the costs of care and the running of our Wildlife hospital & Wildlife Ambulance service have now reached a staggering £20,000+ monthly cost!! £690 per day just to keep our wildlife hospital doors open!!.. As a charity, our hospital can only operate thanks to the generosity of our supporters through donations. With your help & support, we can provide warmth food and urgent medical care to the sick & injured patients in their hours of need. This winter, your generosity will help keep our doors open, our wildlife ambulances operational, our wards warm, our patients free from pain, discomfort and hunger and ultimately.. safe!
Every call we answer, every animal casualty we attend, every life we save - happens ONLY because someone like you cared enough to act!!
Your donation will make a difference to our patients lives.
Please, give what you can, today.
Only together can we help save British wildlife this winter!

Such a great cause helping those who make our world a better place but need a little help when they get sick.
