Operation Horse Transport - Camione y Carretón

Instead of gifts this year, I’m asking for donations to my favorite organization Horses of Hope/Caballos de Esperanza. Specifically, I’m asking to help them obtain a horse trailer and truck for the health of the horses and to help even more people!  

As you know, I was a preemie and I had a lot of different therapies that helped me be the awesome kid that I am today.  I love Horses of Hope because they offer equine therapy which is so cool!  They are also located in Isabela, Puerto Rico which is a special place for my family.  The organization is run by two really great people.

Below are the specific reasons obtaining the horse trailer and truck are so important:

1. We presently have no way to transport our horses if there is a veterinary emergency. This is critical. If we cannot get a horse to a clinic (for surgery or other specialized care), we are endangering the horse’s life as there is no one else in the area who can provide transportation quickly and adequately.
2. We need storage for equipment, tack, and therapy supplies which we take for every class from the farm to the center in our personal vehicle. With the trailer, we can put those things inside, and leave them at the center - locked and protected and with easy access for our lessons.
3. As we do more community outreach, it is important that we can travel to places such as schools, senior centers, community centers – and bring our horses, who are the star members of our team, with us.
4. ­­­Finally, as we empower more clients to ride and work with our horses, we want to be able to take them to equine events on the island where they can participate as peers with other equestrians.
