Beloved Divas and Friends of Opera Diva Dress Collection,

What an exciting year this has been! What started as a small private group for friends to sell and trade dresses, has become so much more than I ever imagined. We are now a community of over 6,000 members, and our numbers increase daily! Dresses from the group have graced stages across the world; proceeds from individual sales have enabled singers to fund their lessons, coachings, and audition trips, (as well as to finance new dresses); and ODDC has given members of our community a platform to grow their “side hustles” and showcase and sell their beautiful handmade creations! I'm also very proud of our recent partnership with Sing For Hope with whom we've hosted a pop-up shop, two successful pop-up concerts this past weekend and numerous volunteer events serving underserved communities. 

As our membership grows, ODDC must grow as well to keep up with the demands of our energized community of divas! I am beyond excited to share with you some exciting new developments which will improve the user experience, and allow ODDC to continue to grow and develop to meet the needs of our specific (and very fabulous) community. 

The most notable change to ODDC will be our new home. We are becoming a website! Our new platform is coined "Shoperatic," and will offer ODDC as its main offering. This will vastly improve the user experience on both the buying and selling ends as items won't get buried the way they presently do on Facebook.

Here are some of the exciting changes you can look forward to:

-Searchability! The website will enable you find exactly what you want, narrowing the search by size, style, color, and even designer. As a buyer, this will make the shopping process incredibly simple, and as a seller, this will insure that the dresses you are selling find their ideal audience and do not get lost in the shuffle.

-Safe, secure, and easy payment 

-Ability for singers to create their own online stores to sell their artisan work and services to our special niche audience

-Exclusive content- style features, designer highlights, and helpful information pertaining to the performing arts career as a woman

-New and exciting products geared toward our specific needs

We want ODDC to be a user friendly experience that will not only help members of our community look amazing, but will enable and empower them to make extra money on the side, from wherever in the world they may be. We have been so inspired by the supportive and caring community that has formed here, and we want to continue to support our own! In a sharing economy, everyone wins!
