Summer 2025

As some of you know, I’ve been involved with the Octavia Project for the last 9(!) years. Over my time with the OP, I have witnessed the power of creativity and community to empower young women and trans and nonbinary youth in Brooklyn to imagine new worlds and envision bold futures with free summer programming that blends creative writing, STEM, and much more!

I started supporting the OP because of my commitment to creating spaces for young women and nonbinary and trans youth to learn STEM skills, create art, and dream a bolder future. While these times feel tough and precedented, they clarify why this program is so important!

This year, join me in raising $40,000 by March 28th to support the OP’s summer programs and build our capacity to start offering school-year programming. I have a personal goal of reaching $1500 which allows one participant to participate in a summer of speculative fiction, nerdy fun, and community.
