Summer 2024

If you're reading this, you're likely already familiar with the Octavia Project and my role in it. So I'll try to distill why I believe you should invest in this community in a few short bullet points.

The Community Impact:

-OP provides a safe, creative, and welcoming space for girls, trans, and nonbinary youth.

-Teens learn concrete skills in STEM, writing, and the arts.

-Teens leave empowered to follow their passions and make a change in their communities.

Personal Impact:

-I know many of the folks behind the scenes of OP since I was 17! They were a big part of me embracing my love of writing and helping me build my confidence in general.

-OP is the first and only Advisory Board I've been a part of. It's now been five years.

-I feel validated, empowered, and celebrated through my work at OP, so it's no surprise our teens feel the same. 

-This community has helped me and so many others grow. I fiercely believe our teens need this support as they navigate all that life throws at them. 

I encourage you to make a donation. If 14 people give $25 each, I'll reach my goal of $350. If you can't give $25, give what you can. Every dollar makes a difference and goes towards reaching our overall goal for this campaign!
