#OneTeam for Kenya

Since 2017, Brighton Jones has been a committed ally of three fantastic organizations in Kenya: 

• GRACE Nanana, a girls’ education and resource center,
• Kajiado Child Care Centre, a rehabilitation facility for children with physical disabilities, and
• The Ruben Centre, providing quality education, health, financial and social services to children and families in Mukuru community.

I’m so proud of the partnerships we’ve created with these organizations providing critical support to children and families in Kenya. We have been their partners in our global community, where they have few other connections to raise support and awareness for their work.

These organizations are reeling from multiple challenges, including continued repercussions of COVID-19, a struggling economy, severe inflation which has doubled the price of food, less support from international donors, and a steep increase in the demand from the vulnerable communities they aim to serve. On top of that, climate change has resulted in more severe and prolonged drought, lowering the water table, threatening their agricultural livelihoods, and forcing them to purchase water.

Over the next few weeks, my colleagues and I will be raising funds to support these organizations, with the goal of collecting $500,000 in donations by the end of September!
