Biography of Jorge Romero

Jorge Romero is a dedicated Ridgefield Police Officer and Barber who proudly serves his local community through both public service and personal connection. Whether on patrol or in the barber’s chair, he has built strong relationships rooted in trust, respect, and support.

Giving back is at the core of who Jorge is. He is passionate about uplifting others, mentoring youth, and being a positive presence for those around him. His commitment to service became deeply personal through his family’s battle with cancer. He tragically lost his nephew, Ramon Badillo, to leukemia, and his aunt, Hortenica, previously battled leukemia and is now courageously fighting both breast and lung cancer.

Jorge is also inspired by his friend Dan Gjodesen, a survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, whose strength and resilience reflect the power of hope and community.

In honor of his loved ones, Jorge is organizing a fundraiser to support Ann’s Place, helping provide care and resources to individuals and families affected by cancer.

Through compassion, service, and community, Jorge remains committed to making a meaningful difference—one service call and barber cut at a time.

Please join us on April 29, 2026, at the Ridgefield Playhouse for this year’s Fashion Show, “Shine Bright,” as we take the stage in a meaningful celebration of community, connection, and support.
