The Oldman Backyard Ultra is a unique running experience where runners try to complete a 6.7km lap every hour, for as many hours as they can. This specific event is also a run for a cause, supporting youth and families in Lethbridge who need it most!

I want to thank those who donated to my 2025 campaign! With your help, my run raised more than $5700 for Youth One! Altogether the event raised more than $75000, enough to provide Youth One's awesome services for about 50 young people in Lethbridge.

This year I am seeking 'per lap' pledges instead of one time donations (though if you prefer to make a one time donation, please do). You will receive a tax receipt for donations in early 2027 from Bridges for Hope. It's just a beer, but my top donor this year will also get my DNF custom can. Congratulations to Sam for winning that last year.

Last year (2025) my goal was to do between 12 and 24 laps. I managed 13 laps (87 km) on a surprisingly hot day. I did 10 laps (67 km) during the 2024 event. However, I did complete a 100 km race last September, so I will let you decide what I might be able to accomplish at the event this year. Running through the night sounds like an adventure. [The winner of the event last year completed 42 laps. The current world record is 119 laps (798 km).]

For every $1500 raised at the event, one youth is sponsored for a full year at Youth One, giving them free access to all programs, meals and support services. For more information on Youth One click here.
