Goal
Offbeat is one of the founding members of the Mara North Conservancy (MNC). Offbeat Mara Camp, Offbeat Riding Safaris and eleven other tourism partners, are committed to protecting and preserving this stunning land that the Maasai people call home. Through tourism, we play a vital role in generating a steady source of income to support the conservation of wildlife and interests of the Maasai who own the land. By staying with us, you directly invest in the sustainability of this ecosystem and give the communities a tangible incentive to protect the area and its wildlife.
Since its inception 15 years ago the Mara North Conservancy has gone from strength to strength, with a noticeable increase in wildlife numbers but the future is now uncertain. With the outbreak of the COVID19 pandemic, there has been a total collapse of tourism in Kenya. This is having a devastating impact on the conservancy and there is a growing concern about the welfare of the Maasai communities that we support, who depend on the income generated from guests. The future of this beautiful and important wildlife habitat is threatened with long-term consequences. Without a solution, we risk losing the land, the wildlife and the people who look after it.
Your donation through our "Adopt a Plot" campaign will help fund the land leases so that the families continue to receive income and the conservancy continues to exist. Contributors can be confident that all the money goes to the Maasai communities.

I joined offbeat for a safari holiday in 2013. Simon, Archie and Amy were incredible guides. I left the Mara with wonderful memories and without realising it, I was becoming informed and educated of the importance of protecting and preserving the wildlife, the land and the people by Simon and Archie. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Deloraine with Cindy and Tristan and the group. I hope to one day to bring my grandchildren to see the beauty of the Mara or encourage them to visit when they are a little older, to experience that feeling that you only get while being there. I wish I could donate more to your cause. Good Luck with your goal!

Amb Bellamy (Kenya 2003-06) introduced me to magical Mara that I was blessed to visit in 2013; My niece and nephew followed my lead and rate Offbeat as the best safari camp. You have brought us indelible memories, hoping this donation will enable you to continue your amazing work. We will return the favor and visit as soon as possible.
