Zella Bishop was a very popular English teacher at Oak Hill and later Collins High School beginning in the 1940s. During her 40 year teaching career she also directed drama activities and served as chaperone for numerous student activities and fi eld trips. Following her death, her niece Ann Griffi th and other family members established this memorial scholarship fund as a way to give back to the school that had been so important to Ms. Bishop. Many former students continue to make contributions to the fund in her memory.
