This year we will celebrate GivingTuesday on November 28th. Our goal is to raise $30,000 in support of the New York Urban League’s Empowerment Days, which provide an opportunity for approximately 200 NYC high school students to learn about careers and industries that they may not have ever imagined by visiting corporations around New York City and engaging with professionals who will share their stories of success and career trajectories.  

Our Empowerment Days objectives include:
  • Recruiting over 200 New York City high school juniors and seniors
  • Recruiting 15 Corporate Partners to host, interact with and provide job shadowing opportunities to students
  • Recruiting 25 volunteers
  • Providing attendees with custom event giveaways
  • Incorporating project-based learning into the event
