Winter Appeal 2020
As a patron, your gift to The New York State Ballet enables us to reach wider audiences and create exciting new productions. We are proud to be a leader in the vibrant dance scene of Upstate New York.
New York State Ballet is well into the 2019-2020 season. The Hochstein School Performance Hall venue proved ideal for our charming fall production, Three Tales of the Big, Bad Wolf. This original ballet, choreographed by Robert Royce, showcased the spirited New York State Ballet company and Training Academy dancers, delighted young audience members and brought back the child in everyone.
This December, The Nutcracker finds a new home at the Hale Auditorium in Roberts Wesleyan College's Cultural Arts Center. The production features an outstanding orchestra conducted by Music Director Jared Chase, and Carrie Zugelder's Webster Schroeder Women's Chorus. This joyous production is a perennial favorite for audiences and dancers alike.
New York State Ballet presents the Duke Ellington evening in mid-February with all new choreography by Mr. Royce. Duke Ellington will be sure to warm hearts this winter.
New York State Ballet's Training Academy now offers a unique Graduate Program. This rigorous program provides aspiring professionals with the chance to join the company's corps de ballet. Additionally, dancers travel to Boston, Pittsburgh, New York, Toronto and other cities for national exposure.
Please join us in supporting the 2019-2020 season with a monetary gift.
