As a patron, your gift to The New York State Ballet enables us to reach wider audiences and create exciting new productions. We are proud to be a leader in the vibrant dance scene of Upstate New York.

New York State Ballet is having an incredible 2018-2019 season. The Hochstein School Performance Hall proves to be an ideal venue for us. Our opening gala, An Evening With the New York State Ballet, gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase the professional company and Training Academy.

Our spring season featured a new take on The Great Gatsby, with Robert Royce’s Gershwin and Gatsby. This energetic, colorful Jazz Age ballet was brought to life with live jazz and vocals. Our audience was spellbound by world-class pianists, who performed "Rhapsody In Blue," "Three Preludes," and other favorites.

Our season closes on Saturday, April 13 with A Midsummer Night's Dream. This dazzling Shakespearean comedy features a live orchestra and women's chorus. Julia Figueras of WXXI Classical 91.5 narrates the family-friendly ballet.

New York State Ballet'sTraining Academy now offers a thriving Graduate Program. This rigorous program provides aspiring professionals with the chance to join the company's corps de ballet. Additionally, dancers travel to Toronto, Boston, and New York for national exposure.

This December, The Nutcracker finds a new home at Roberts Wesleyan College's Cultural Arts Center. The production features a Festival Orchestra conducted by Music Director Jared Chase, as well as Vincent Salvadge's Lyric Voices. This joyous production is a perennial favorite for audiences and dancers alike.

Please join us in supporting the 2019-2020 season with a monetary gift. Your tax-deductible contribution allows the New York State Ballet to continue its mission of preserving the art of classical ballet with exceptional productions, bringing a refreshed appreciation and awareness of ballet to New York. Thank you!
