Team Hope Story - TCS New York City Marathon 2024

I am so excited for the opportunity to run the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon for Hope Story, Inc! Hope Story has been selected as an official charity partner for the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon, which will be held on November 3, 2024.

I am paying my own race entry, hotel, travel and everything out of my own pocket, so rest assured your donation helps Hope Story directly and entirely! Don't forget to ask your employer if they offer a "Donation Match" - there's a company search function in the donation box as well!

I want to make this fun for you and raise a lot of money, so here are some fun ideas for donating based on facts about the race!

• If all you could give is a fiver for the 5 boroughs of New York we'll be running through, then a $5 donation is much appreciated! 
• This is a 26.2 mile race. Would you consider a donation of a dollar per mile that I'll be running? $26.20. 
• On average, it takes about 50,000 steps to complete a marathon, so if you gave a dollar for every 1000 steps, that would be a $50 donation!
• I will burn about 150 calories each mile (over 3900 cals through the course)! So, could you cover a $150 donation? 
• I will be aiming for a time between 3hrs30min to 3hrs45min, so between 210-225 minutes. Would you consider $1 per minute for a donation of $210-$225? That would be huge!
  
• The elevation gain and elevation loss in this race is about 800 feet over the course! So, while it seems flat overall, it's actually quite hilly. A donation of $800 would be a real boost to get over the hills! 
• If you could give a donation of $1,000 or more, then I will be so much more than grateful... I will personally recognize you on the gear I will be wearing during training and on race day!!
  • This could be your name, a name "in honor of" a loved one, your company logo, etc. You and I will work together to make it happen!
