2025 NSOF ATHLETE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Navy Special Operations Foundation (NSOF) Athlete Ambassador Program showcases the dedication and drive of athletes who compete in extraordinary events to raise funds for Navy Special Operations families.

These incredible ambassadors represent the resilience and spirit of the Navy Special Operations community by pushing their limits in Ironman triathlons, cycling challenges, mountain biking races, and other endurance events. Through their efforts, they raise vital funds to support NSOF programs that provide critical resources, create meaningful experiences, and honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.

Meet Athlete Ambassador: Will Clark

Will Clark is an active duty Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.  He is currently stationed in Mayport, Florida, and is serving as the Supply Officer on USS Lassen (DDG-82).  In addition to his primary duties, Will is also the ship's primary Search and Rescue swimmer.  He has connections to the Navy Special Operations community with many friends and former classmates being EOD and SEAL operators, some of whom he served alongside while stationed in Rota, Spain.

Will’s athletic and physical background is as impressive as his service:

🥍 U.S. Naval Academy Varsity Lacrosse Team Manager

⚓️ U.S. Naval Academy Endurance Team member

🏅2023 Ironman All-World Athlete

Since graduating from the Academy in 2019, Will has challenged himself and completed:
🚴‍♂️ 2 full Ironmans
🏊 1 Ironman 70.3 + 2 sprint triathlons
🏃 4 marathons, 4 half-marathons, 1 15K, and multiple 5Ks
🌊 1 3K swim race

What’s next?

🔹 Ironman Florida – November 1, 2025
This will be Will’s third full Ironman

For Will, these races mean something:

"I want to be able to give back to these communities for the sacrifices they have made.  Brendan Looney was one person that the Lacrosse Team looked up to and I have had some friends while serving that have unfortunately committed suicide.  I started doing Ironman's to give back and help raise awareness for PTSD and people who struggle with the battles they face everyday.”
