2025 NSOF ATHLETE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Navy Special Operations Foundation (NSOF) Athlete Ambassador Program showcases the dedication and drive of athletes who compete in extraordinary events to raise funds for Navy Special Operations families.

These incredible ambassadors represent the resilience and spirit of the Navy Special Operations community by pushing their limits in Ironman triathlons, cycling challenges, mountain biking races, and other endurance events. Through their efforts, they raise vital funds to support NSOF programs that provide critical resources, create meaningful experiences, and honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.

Meet Athlete Ambassador: Lars Andrew Michael Brown

Lars Brown is a Navy Saturation Diver with 8.5 years of service. His career has taken him to some of the most extreme environments on the planet, from the swamps of Papua New Guinea to the frigid waters of the Arctic Ocean. In addition to his operational experience, he is a Navy Command Fitness Leader and a dedicated Hybrid Athlete, balancing endurance, strength, and resilience.

Lars has previously competed in the Honolulu Marathon and Honolulu Half Marathon, as well as placing in and winning multiple unit powerlifting competitions. His next challenges include:

🔹 Honolulu Marathon – December 14, 2025

For Lars, being part of this campaign is more than just competition—it’s about giving back to the Navy Special Operations community that has given him so much. As he puts it:

"I believe I have an obligation to represent my community in a positive light. Being able to raise money for NSOF is the least I can do for a community that has done so much for me and countless others."

As he takes on these endurance events, he’s raising funds to support NSOF’s mission:
