Nowzad Ukraine

Just like you, the team here at Nowzad have watched in horror at the events unfolding in Ukraine. We have no words to describe the brutality and needless suffering inflicted upon both the Ukrainian people and its animals.

The Nowzad charity, with your help, is supporting local volunteers in Ukraine to support and resupply as many Ukrainian rescue shelters and their courageous brave staff who stayed behind to care for the animals who could not be evacuated, as we can.

Recently Pen was in Irpin, north west of Kyiv to see the devastation and need of the local people and animals for himself. His social media reports have been harrowing.

I am a cat lover from Taiwan. Besides adopting a few stray cats myself, I also provide medical support to injured stray cats on the streets and help find suitable adopters for them. What’s happening in Ukraine is heartbreaking, and my heart aches for the people and animals suffering there. I hope that my small donation can help the brave volunteers continue their efforts to rescue injured or sick cats. Taiwan stands with Ukraine.
