Simon is one of the most driven young people to come through the Connecting Champions program. An aspiring Spielberg, Simon shares his passion for film and storytelling with Fatimah, an Atlanta-based animator and founder of her own company. Their first few calls revolved around discussing their favorite movies and various creative approaches that resonate with them. As they relationship has evolved, so have their conversations. Their most recent call was focused on all of the different roles in film production and how to stand out from competitors on a resume. For their next call, Simon and Fatimah are going to watch the same movie on their own time and analyze it together. Their breakdown will include visual camera tricks, visual effects, and the scene’s production management style.
